This project is part of the $2.7 billion Southeast Queens Initiative, which includes more than 40 infrastructure projects that are rebuilding streets and improving drainage throughout Southeast Queens.

The project will also improve traffic safety and traffic flow in the area, on major roadways such as Francis Lewis Boulevard, Hook Creek Boulevard and Hungry Harbor Road.

DDC celebrated the grand re-opening of the Leonard Library in Brooklyn. This project featured mechanical and architectural building improvements, including an advanced Building Management System, new energy-efficient heating and cooling system, and more.

DDC joined @NYPD100Pct, the offices of @JoannAriola32, @QueensDAKatz, and @QnsBPRichards last night for National Night Out in Far Rockaway. The special night promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

DDC is working with our partners on the reconstruction of the Grand Concourse, including safety improvements, water main and sewer upgrades, and more. Phase 5 of the project is expected to be completed by November 2027.

We congratulate Eduardo del Valle on his appointment as Acting Commissioner of DDC. He previously served as Associate Commissioner in Public Buildings and most recently Deputy Commissioner of Mega Projects.
