A 1938 menu from United Airlines listed its 4-course Sky Dining service, designed by Swiss-trained chef Max Burkhardt. A donor note indicates that this menu was collected on a DC-3; United’s DC-3s would have held 21 passengers in a standard seating configuration. Behr Collection.

On 7/29/24, I had the pleasure of visiting @NUL_Transport. I love the #airline menus, but there's much more to see. Library Head Rachel Cole gave me the ultimate #avgeek tour of artifacts in the collection, including this #PanAm china. https://t.co/6SgysdJqMj Photo: @AvQueenBenet
