A great day to start the celebration of 175 years of public education (to be celebrated throughout the year), with 1848 marking the establishment of the Board of National Education in NSW. All photos taken during the 19th century, courtesy of @NSWEducation. @LilaMularczyk

Thousands of students and their families from across western Sydney made their way to Kimberwalli, in Whalan, to collect a backpack full of school supplies as part of a back-to-school initiative by the Aboriginal Centre for Excellence. https://t.co/ypiBxGc8qq

I’m a student at school. You’ve banned #ChatGPT in class. I know I can complete any written task at home in the blink of an eye. Will a ban encourage in class work, or distract from it? PS. I don’t have the answer yet, but I’m quietly confident ChatGPT can’t cook. Yet. #aussieED
