Schools are now structured so that the majority of student misbehaviors essentially have ZERO consequences…and that’s horrible for schools overall…but especially for the students that are not misbehaving.

Public schools are not failing students. Public school teachers are not failing students. The system is failing public schools, teachers and students. Stop saying public schools and teachers are failing students when the system is setting them up to fail.

Recently the school district near me tried to celebrate LBGTQIA diversity. Some students ripped down all posters; then these students peed all over artwork and posted to social media. This goes beyond bullying into a hate crime….

Dear Class of 2022, The last few years have not been easy. When we weren't able to be in school, it was life that taught us lessons that we'll never forget. This poem is a reminder, of the lessons learnt, and the challenges you've overcome. Congratulations, you made it. 🎉

Kids need to play games in preschool so they can learn to take turns. Kids need to play games in high school so they can learn to communicate without a phone.

Today I’m thinking of these bright young women - each of whom were preparing for bright futures ahead - murdered this day, 33 years ago, at school, in what is now recognized as an anti-feminist, misogynist mass murder. #MontrealMassacre #Dec6

The fact that @Sflecce underestimated the amount of public support for @osbcucscso #onted workers just goes to show just how unqualified and out of touch he is about his job as the Minister of Education. #onpoli

The week is Treaty Recognition Week. This week and beyond, PDSB staff and students will be learning about treaties, treaty rights, and learning about our relationships and responsibilities living on and sharing this land.

@Sflecce If your priority was to keep the kids in school you would have negotiated in good faith. You can legislate workers back to work but then you go to binding arbitration. You can’t legislate their contract. That was immoral. You and your colleagues all got massive increases.
