This week we submitted a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee Communications and Technology Subcommittee urging action towards federal funding for NG9-1-1. We thank the Committee Chairs for their commitment to public safety communications.

The FCC’s proposals represent a significant step toward the Coalition’s broader goal of full NG9-1-1 deployment and will complement the public safety community’s advocacy for federal funding to support the deployment of NG9-1-1.

True interoperability, as defined by the public safety community, will enhance emergency response by enabling 9-1-1 centers to seamlessly share 9-1-1 calls and critical data across state lines.

The Public Safety NG9-1-1 Coalition appreciates the FCC’s continued efforts to facilitate the transition to NG9-1-1 by prioritizing the reliability and interoperability of 9-1-1 networks.

Public Safety Next Generation 9-1-1 Coalition welcomes support from 9 bipartisan former @FCC Chairs to congressional leadership urging $15B in funding for NG9-1-1

The @NG_911Coalition released the below statement today in support of a letter sent to Congress by nine former @FCC Chairs regarding the importance of investing in Next Generation 9-1-1.

The @NG_911Coalition sent a letter to @RepMikeRogersAL, @RepAdamSmith, @HASCDemocrats, and @HASCRepublicans asking them to prioritize H.R. 3565, the Spectrum Reauthorization Act of 2023 this Congress in order to fully fund NG9-1-1 services across the country.

Last week, the @NG_911Coalition sent a letter to @RepMikeTurner, @jahimes, @HouseIntelDems, and @HouseIntel, to ensure H.R. 3565, the Spectrum Reauthorization Act of 2023 remains a priority for Congress this session. This bill will fund NG 9-1-1 infrastructure across the country.
