Not every lesson needs to be fun or “engaging.” Some of the things most worth knowing are just plain hard and require focus. But the teacher as entertainer paradigm has helped convince kids that boredom is oppression instead of just a natural part of learning

Talked with a Head of Eng at a startup who added a pretty clever “fingerprinting” to a takehome exercise to get proof if it was completed by copy+pasting it into an LLM. 100% of takehome submitted were done like this. He asked ppl submitting if they used any AI: 25% said yes

GPT4 is nice. I chatted with it about my stock portfolio. It was very friendly and not annoying giving me extra info I didn't want/need. It can also access the web and tell me dividend payout dates, etc. Much better than 3.5. I don't know why I currently have access to GPT4.
