There are so many independent artists(the music industry shat on them), and other businesses(inflation/property tax/poc tax shat on them), that I cannot count.. they exponentially grew..the Economy is about to take a MAJOR blow.. ppl forget what #TikTok did during the pandemic
@theashleyray and it's not just the influencers, that's what they don't get. think of businesses that have been saved because they went viral and everyone showed up? or the movies, shows or music that take off because of it, the products or food that goes viral and no one can buy it anywhere.

I definitely hear you, but at the same time, the way platforms have significantly changed to give creators less autonomy and more click-baity responses have dulled ALOT of income for them. TikTok solved that issue; with the same energy as a 30-45 min YT edited video.

@DawgsGolfSpurs @theashleyray She’s not just talking about “influencers.” There’s no other social media that can be used as a marketing tool the way TikTok can. Tiktok has undoubtedly saved TONS of small businesses simply because of how great of a marketing tool it is.

Examples: simple tools like cars, bikes, skates, books, tv, movies, the fucking internet… all these things provide entertainment; even if it’s for the likes of ppl who take pleasure in defending how we’d be fine without several facets of pleasure. Get a grip..

The tricky part about that is once they(possibly) get their footing on a different site, they have to deal with changes that help the app with revenue and NOT the creators(@YOUTUBE).
@theashleyray Same thing happened to all the creators who made their living off Vine when it shut down. It’s going to suck temporarily but those with a big enough name will rebound quickly on another app/site.
