To be clear I’m not saying I want to pay £70 or more for a game but let’s not act like this wasn’t something that was obviously going to happen sooner or later. Plus with the current overinflated costs to make most games it had to happen.

Paying £70 for Xmen Children of the Atom on Saturn and £70 for Turok on the N64 and that was almost 30 years ago. In today’s money that’s about £150 and I’ll tell you the development costs on those games was far less than you see today.

Seeing a lot of complaining about the price of Switch 2 games but maybe a little perspective. Video games have increased in cost FAR below inflation over the last 30 years and now we’re seeing a course correction. There have always been expensive games. I specifically remember
