If youâre talking down the way Taylor is to a marginalized population that many people are ignoring then youâre no ally.

Coming back on here to point out that in 2018 I brought the issue of Section 230 on the main stage of @defcon AND @hopeconf while pregnant. No matter how snide Taylor is being in this post, sex workers have actually been posting and talking about this issue constantly.
Me: Basically no big leftist content creators are speaking out on the crusade to abolish section 230, in fact many are feeding the moral panic the laws are predicated on. This is bad and they need to start speaking out. Person whoâs never posted about these laws once: Actually

Violence in sex work exists bc of racism Violence in sex work exists bc of poverty Violence in sex work exists bc of stigma Violence in sex work exists bc of criminalization Violence is NOT just an âinevitableâ part of sex work and to say so is to give power to all the above.

âAnti-rights movementsâ are groups or coalitions that work to oppose or restrict human rights, often targeting communities that are already marginalised. This infographic is a summary of the Smart Sex Workers Guide to Anti-Rights Movements and Sex Work. https://t.co/G0ft88hYpV

𧾠Conservatives ginned up panic about crime in San Francisco & helped install tough-on-crime prosecutor Brooke Jenkins, who was reelected last week. Here is a #longread about the real people the narrative hurtâincl. women trapped in jail without sunlight.

After a moral panic about crime, San Franciscoâs billionaires and political leaders demanded more arrests. Pretrial detainees are now seeing the harmful effects.

I find this quote by David Hall, owner of Shotwellâs Saloon and one of the plaintiffs who sued the city in Aug, to be quite telling: âSure, they need to work. Letâs just put them on Bayshore. Thereâs nobody who lives over there. Itâs easy.â

In August, a small group of residents filed a lawsuit against the city over the presence of visible outdoor sex work: https://t.co/AikunWnLze The city installed a series of barriers that have proven to be ineffective. Residents donât seem to like them: https://t.co/KESoFl0NKe

Five Shotwell neighbors sued the city over sex workers and vagrancy. Mayor Breed responded within hours by announcing changes to the area.

The SFPD will be focusing on a âDear Johnâ surveillance program to deter sex work. They urge the community to participate in documenting & reporting offenses. Friendly reminder that false reports can consume the valuable time & resources of our hardworking officers.

Should you be able to experiment on your own cancer? This expert virologist did. It was the 3rd time her cancer appeared. It didn't bode well. So she injected viruses in her tumor and it shrunk. But most journals didn't want to publish her results. Why? Because they're dumb đ§ľ
A scientist who successfully treated her own breast cancer by injecting the tumour with lab-grown viruses has sparked discussion about the ethics of self-experimentation

Or producers/directors who wouldnât hire people without an after hours visit to the casting couch in their house. Itâs the prerogative of any individual to decide they donât want to work with a MAGA cheerleader. Cope.

Trump loving adult performers crying foul over winding up on ânoâ lists for other performers would do well to remember that performers who have spoken up about abusive working conditions, assault, or non-payment used to be routinely refused for work by entire studios & companies.

If using an app works well for you, then keep using it. Itâs a fantastic option. If journaling is a better fit, then journal. If putting a marker on a calendar is what works, keep it up. You donât have to justify or defend why a method is your favorite.

Many people experience convenience and consistency with an app, some others feel estranged from themselves or overwhelmed with a tech based mediator especially since we now have devices that log a lot of data about our bodies.
