As a woman, regardless of location if I feel the need to go through a man’s things then I don’t need to be there. Sometimes “we” put ourselves through unnecessary stress/drama. If there’s trust issues, I will just simply walk away. A peace of mind is better than chaos.

I don't believe in living together. I think while dating each person should have their own everything, thus no need to split. However a spouse is on a different level. There should be a conversation/plan about roles/responsibilities as it pertains to household/family matters.

This! You still have priorities while pursuing your dreams. The issue is “the plan”. You have to a realistic plan that’s agreeable. People who are Not your spouse are not obligated to “hold you down”. You never invest in temporary situations.
