Reeeeeaaal disappointed in the nanowrimo ai statement. I have participated since 2017 with my students and it is always a fun, and difficult, creative challenge. Allowing AI to write part or all of their stories completely defeats the purpose of the challenge and the project.

It's the last week of NaNoWriMo 2023 and I'm feelin' great- my students are doing awesome too. A few are a bit behind but most are in striking distance! I was reflecting today on my past novels and the journey to 50k... some years were way more rough than others LOL
