This makes a lot of sense to me- especially as a kindergarten teacher. I’m having a hard time imagining a scenario where I can effectively teach five year olds while maintaining 3-6 feet of social distance.
Distance learning in the Spring was emergency learning—no one knew what to do or how to do it, we just did it. If states announced mandatory distance learning for the Fall, we would be 10x more prepared, we’d work to get everyone tech access, & we’d unquestionably be more safe.

I keep coming back to this thought- that while this is a terrible time for teachers and schools in so many ways, maybe it’s also an opportunity to really take a look at eduction as we know it and change it for the better
The time for school reform has past; we have entered a season of transformation. We can’t miss this opportunity. We must not be timid as we redeem ourselves and allow others to redeem themselves! #DoSomething
