One way to help with fluency and comprehension is for children to hop between a video(or audio) of a book and of the book itself . They then see the spoken word that they've just heard, now represented in print. It joins the dots.
Thoughts on children's attitudes to books and videos. The vids I've made of my poems and stories are 100s of 1000s times more popular than the books. I've had over 154 million views. Haven't sold anywhere near that amount of books+library borrowings.
