Teaching has always been challenging. Teaching through the pandemic was very challenging. Teaching this year feels more challenging than ever before. This is a different type of hard.

We once did a parent education night. We had 3 sessions of classes taught by teachers on Homework, how to help with projects, internet safety, extracurricular activities, and other things parents should know about education. Exhausting, but effective. #EdChat #EduSky

Schools can start a group specifically for fathers, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, or male mentors. Programs like Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) give dads a clear, visible role in supporting the school. #EdChat

It's important to invite and encourage more dads as classroom volunteers. Students need to see more positive male role models supporting their academic growth. #EdChat
