I've posted a lot of my ammo projects recently and people have asked for close up pictures of the spent cases, one guy even claimed I was painting brass cartridges bright colors to fake it for internet clout. So, here's pictures of my spent "brass" from my last round of testing.

This one, this one I'm pretty pleased with. 45 LC, 115 grain bullet over 5.0 grains of titegroup. Definitely has the closest "feel" to factory ammo of anything I've done so far.

It's more nuanced than that, they removed the injunction until the supreme court takes up the case. It has been pretty standard practice of this court to do this, doesn't really reflect how they will judge the case once they hear it.

Almost forgot this one, minus the one failure to extract in the white claw penetration test (rim was kinda chewed up, that red PLA+ isn't that great for ammo tbh) all rounds fed and extracted perfectly.

In case you're wondering (and I know you are), we chronographed read the fastest at 356.4 meters a second, or about 1170 FPS in freedom units. (Admitted, was inconsistent. Ranged from 900-1170 FPS) Believe this is due to some of the printed sabots coming apart.

I dev printed ammo because it's fun and so much cheaper than regular ammo. I can print 350 44 Magnum cartridges off one $20 spool of filament. Including powder, primer, filament, and projectiles, cost per round is about 30 cents. You can't even find just the brass that cheap.

I bought an old 1869 Springfield trapdoor cadet chambered in 50-70 government only to discover some fuck-wad ground the end of the firing pin flat to decommission it.
I don't have words to express my disdain for anyone who would purposefully molest such a gun.

Tested some 3D printed 38 Long Colt out of my Colt 1901 New Model Army in some DIY ballistics gel today. Load is a 40 grain and a 25 grain airgun pellet in a sabot on 2.5 grains of titegroup. Pellets separate for a buckshot type effect in the gel.

I had an LCP and the thing was just... just awful. One of the only guns I've owned I've ever sold.
One is none and two is one! Keep ‘em handy folks. And get the extended mags because the 6rd mags are terrible to grip

The really fun part about the bullets I cast in my previous post is that they are an unknown mixture of recovered lead and old solder, so it's some unknown % of a lead, tin, and antimony mixture but that's what I had so that's what was cast.
