All of the longitudinal research into the diagnosis of additional needs would suggest that SEND is massively under-diagnosed. Leading with that undermines a number of accurate points here. We don’t have to paint in broad brush strokes like this.
The SEND system is broke. Any teacher knows this. Overdiagnosis .Inadequate training.Inconsistent provision .Insufficient alternative schooling places.Outdated language and perspectives.Nowhere near enough time or money . Hopefully @TomRees_77 and his team can start sorting it.
