I support SBMM too, but I do kinda understand the resentment. Imagine struggling with getting into PvP, only to hear people say "git gud", "just adapt", "nobody's forcing you to play this game", as they ruthlessly curb stomp you.

You're missing the point. On PC, MnK and controller have to play against each other. So when one input method is overtuned, it can feel oppressive or unfun.
It's also bad when ppl don't realise the imbalance. I challenge you use MnK for 2 days and do what I did on controller.

I'm not sure why everyone is celebrating already. Cronus users already have a workaround.
I'm happy Sony are taking steps, but the premature celebration is... premature.
It's just like when Bungie "banned" XIMs.
The new PlayStation 5 System Software update today appears to have disabled the ability to use Cronus software on the PS5 console.
Cronus manufacturer has issued a notice on their website stating they are trying to fix the issue, but that for now, it is disabled cause of Sony.
