Yes and they know it so they often use that dynamic to continue undermining you in a way that you can’t directly defend yourself. That’s why many creators are lonely in creator “communities,” bc too many operate under the default of “if I am to succeed, they must fail” fallacy.
Some content creators can be some of the meanest people behind closed doors. Even the bigger ones. And they put you in a situation where you can't say anything or you will risk losing your career or get harassed by their die hard fanbase. Not all creators. Just be safe.
