It was a profound moment that stirred raw emotions within us all, leading me to question: Do we solely rely on lived experiences to determine our capacity for compassion? Can't we, with compassion and empathy, lead the change for a system that uplifts rather than fails?

Yesterday, my heart was deeply touched, alongside other NHS leaders, as a courageous woman shared her story. From the challenging journey of seeking asylum to finally being granted refugee status, her narrative revealed the staggering adversities she faced every step of the way.

.@ascension_hulme has has been part of the fight for social justice in Mcr for decades, so it was great to visit the 'No Place Like Home' event to mark the anniversary of the Viraj Mendis campaign, and to talk with residents about their stories of migration, asylum and belonging.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks, but every moment was worth it. A massive thank you to the 30 dedicated volunteers who made the event a resounding success. In the voluntary sector, collaboration is our strength, and together, we create moments that truly matter. 🤝✨

We teamed up with various charities to organise a spectacular Christmas party at the hotel, filled with joy. From diverse activities to a special visit from Santa, the night was truly magical! The joy was so infectious that even adults couldn't resist taking pics with Santa.
