Before our campaign at Chiana SHS, almost all students had never heard of landmines or cluster munitions, and only a few knew anything about them. By the end, the students gained a strong understanding and were ready to share what they learned with their friends and communities.

⌛️@BulletinAtomic Doomsday Clock is at 89 seconds to midnight, the closest it’s ever been. The threat of nuclear catastrophe is as urgent as ever, with nuclear-armed states' spending rising 34% in the last 5 years. But there’s hope: #NuclearBan. https://t.co/3UkMHIRBcQ

The Doomsday Clock moving ahead to 89 seconds to midnight is a stark reminder that we must act NOW. As @BulletinAtomic put it: “Every second of delay in reversing course increases the probability of global disaster.” But there is reason for hope, like the #NuclearBan Treaty. 🧵

A decision to withdraw from MBT would align #Finland and #Lithuania with the same military values as Russia, Myanmar, North Korea, and Iran, the only countries whose armies actively use AP mines. Stay on the right side of history! https://t.co/Oohmf77fZD https://t.co/Q1LGSW32bw

Countries cannot disregard international humanitarian law without consequences. Anne Delorme & @erinlynnhunt warn against a world where "might makes right." Canada must lead in upholding humanitarian laws to protect civilians & ensure global compliance.
