After some queries on facing losses, here's a mock up of some scenarios risking 1%:
- 1:1R, 70% win rate
- 2:1R, 40% win rate
- 3:1R, 30% win rate
They all net profits.
For me personally, building a backtested method where you know your win rate & R value has greatly helped.

If you're backtesting and you're seeing that you have a bias towards shorting vs longing..... just invert your chart.
Press Alt-I, & you'll see the same set ups / criteria for entry on your bearish model presenting, but from a bullish perspective.
