33. I have good takes, it's not my fault you don't agree with them. Overflowing with salt.

I think snow Na'Vi should just be the Ronso from FFX. That's the thought.

Some of us DB fans can have nuance. I can say 'I think the Kikuchi score is mostly bland and uninteresting' while also saying 'I don't think the Faulcner score fits a 1980's Martial Arts anime'.

Cool thing about Andor is I can show it to someone who's only ever seen the movies. Everything else in modern SW is Filoniverse content of varying qualities and requires 18 seasons of 3 cartoons to know about.

This is a well oiled machine with many moving parts, so all the hate and disdain attributed to the actual people doing the localization is largely misguided.

Localization is a creative craft that has to deal with many bureaucracies and standards that we cannot control. When you're pissed about a certain cultural change, bring that up to the people above the localizers because we have no control over that.

4. Ignoring or changing previously designated terms or iconic phrases Ex. NieR:Automata - THIS CANNOT CONTINUE --> NieR:Automata LSS - th1s 1s n0 g00d

3. Removing original songs or entirely rerecording them in EN or creating an entirely new and unrelated theme song (again this is a copyright issue, so it's tricky) Ex1. Dragon Ball OP - FIELD OF VIEW DAN DAN 心魅かれてく Ex2. Tales of Destiny OP - DEEN 夢であるように

2. Altering the title for whatever reason (I get this can't always be avoided) Ex1. Yoroiden Samurai Troopers -> Ronin Warriors Ex2. (EN->JP localization) Army of Darkness -> Captain Supermarket

The types of localizations that I don't like: 1. Needlessly changing character names or erasing culturally specific names/nouns Ex1. Usagi -> Serena Ex2. Onigiri/riceball -> hamburger

Ah yes, my favorite type of fanart. Goonerbait slop that changes every recognizable feature of a fictional species/character into the most generic Goonbimbo ever seen.

This explains why many English speaking artists tend to draw 2B as strong and outgoing, while artists who understand Japanese portray her as much softer. 2B is actually a very gentle and introverted character. Even in the Chinese version with Japanese voice acting, the

Crazy being a millennial sometimes, having heard the 'the brain is a muscle' and 'don't believe everything on the internet' and even the pointed 'you can't die multiple times in real life' about video games, only to see every single one of those people fall straight into the pit
