2 yrs ago, the world's most powerful operational rocket took flight as the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket carried the ArabSat6a satellite to orbit.
8-mins after launch, the side boosters returned to LZ1 & LZ2. (Sonic booms galore!)
It was truly spectacular.

My reaction then, and still: Wow. Just, wow.
This shot is a long exposure from near the pad: 3 boosters = 3 streaks aka SPACE LASERS!

Good morning, Space Coast: A

payload to space this (Wednesday) morning at 7:24am (ET), seen here passing in front of the just-risen Sun.
(Astronaut)
@WilliamShatner
is understandably affected, going deep with his feelings:”Everybody in the world needs to do this…the comforter of blue down there…black above and there is Mother Earth…is that what death is like?”
Everyone else there: *sprays champagne*
Good morning, Space Coast, this is your 5:52am wake-up call.
That's a

rocket carried the USSF52 mission past the Moon and to space.
Look at the shockwaves from the > 5 million pounds of thrust produced by 27 Merlin engines - the Moon appears to melt. 🔥🔥🔥
Wow. just, wow.

Liftoff!
At 3:14am (ET) Sunday, the

It was a beautiful launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, & the 90th successful 1st stage landing for

OTD 6 yrs ago,
#SpaceX
Falcon9 booster B1025 sent the CRS-9 Dragon on its way to resupply the ISS.
8-mins later the booster returned gracefully (w/ sonic booms!) to Cape Canaveral.
~2 yrs later, B1025 was used by the 1st Falcon Heavy to send
@elonmusk
's roadster to space.
This is an extremely misleading caption for the largely successful (& certainly amazing)
#SpaceX
#Starship
test flight.
If the only thing that needs to be worked out is the landing,
@SpaceX
&
@elonmusk
have definitely shown that they’ve got that covered...
This never gets old:
#SpaceX
just launched & landed another
#Falcon9
rocket; their 27th launch of 2021, the 129th Falcon9 launch overall, & the 9th trip for this particular booster (tonight carrying
