Still one of my favorite things we've ever had in our shop! It's wild how close the colors are to what actually happened in flight! -

The ultimate aerospace merchandise. Bringing space down to Earth for everyday people.
Every morning this cup turns red as my hot coffee pours into it and I am reminded of ITF 5. Thanks @Erdayastronaut

Obligatory "If you want to know why we don't see flames, what's the weird rainbow explosion, and who actually tilted the camera", I have a little video on this topic (and many others) -
On this day in 1972, NASA astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt lifted off from the surface of the Moon onboard Apollo lunar module Challenger's ascent stage, docking to Apollo command and service module America, piloted by Ronald Evans, approximately two hours later. No

Can anyone double check this? According to this NASA HLS document, the mission profile from NRHO to the surface and back has a total dV at the bottom of 3,770.69 m/s. When I add up all the dV in that column, I get 5,257.18 m/s... (which seems right) what am I missing?!?

Yikes. Please no Kessler syndrome. Please. Please.
When satellite operators do not share ephemeris for their satellites, dangerously close approaches can occur in space. A few days ago, 9 satellites were deployed from a launch from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwestern China. As far as we know, no coordination or

Made a little progress by downloading the V26 Beta, then I could export it to be a local .prproj file. Then I tried to use the Project Downgrade Tool to get it to a file I could open in 25.6.3, but it didn't work unfortunately. I suppose I can just keep working in the Beta, but

Any @Adobe wizards out there? We had a team project that's been using Premiere 25.6.0 and it did the glitch where it saved the projects wrong and when we upgraded to 25.6.3, we cannot access the files. I downloaded the Adobe Project Downgrade tool, but team projects don't have a

One of my favorite designs! So excited to see this thing fly!
We've completed qualification & acceptance testing of the Hungry Hippo fairing for Neutron 🚀 With the design, structure, and operations of Neutron's fixed reusable fairing and upper module now proven out, Hungry Hippo is ready for launch.

My mom was the manager of a bicycle shop when I was growing up and the owner had a computer with Microsoft Flight Simulator on it. My parents used to do tandem bike consulting after hours and I LOVED being able to sit and play MSFS while they were working. Core memories for me!
@Erdayastronaut I grew up playing MSFS, it's probably the reason I fell in love with aviation. Hopefully XB-1 helps inspire another generation to pursue flight.

Some ideas to get the juices flowing: *Grand Tour (Land on every landable body in the Kerbol system in one mission) *SSTO to Duna (Mars) and back *Speed run to the Mun record (sub one hour?) *Top speed runway challenge *Island speedrun challenge

I think I'm going to do a big stream marathon when my album comes out (hopefully the 27th ish). Probably a big fat Kerbal Space Program livestream... what would you want me to do that might take all day? Give me your best ideas!

And here's me with the NK-33!!! This was only about a month after I had released my deep dive on Soviet Rocket Engines, so seeing this hardware up close and personal was awesome!

4 years ago today I was secretly at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakstan to watch a Soyuz Launch w/the then un-announced dearMoon crew... Well, here's me with Energia's RD-0120 engine (Similar to the RS-25). I still need to share this whole experience some time, it was wild!

PS: That's a sneak peek of the new recording of "Isentropic Retreat", (still not mastered), but it has me actually playing drums (not programmed)! I think singles will start dropping in a week or two and album is still on track to come out by end of year!
