RIP to my friend and fellow Terre Haute native Charlie Hall. Always looked out for me when I was a broke GA at Texas Tech. Later in life he was a trusted mentor who offered great advice and was always willing to listen.

Eddie Payne was the first head coach to take sincere interest in me when I went to South Eugene High School and he was at OR State. I got a chance to speak with him many times throughout my coaching career. Great coach but better man- get well soon coach!!!

The interpretation of the charge call in college basketball has gone too far the other way. I’ve seen two examples tonight where the D was there before the drive even started. Bad offense shouldn’t be rewarded.

I prefer watching the players decide the game. Error on the side of keeping the players on the court when at all possible. If malicious intent is involved that’s one thing but aggressive plays happen in high level games.
