I Love Indiana Basketball. It started at age 5, when the General had em rolling. Even in defeat, whether it was close or a blowout, I grew for IU🏀. 30+ yrs have passed, but that🔥 burns bright. Today, I have my cream and crimson on and I intend to fight for the Glory of Old IU!
For Calbert, Damon and Alan. Steve, Jared, Landon, Brian and Cody…For Ray, Quinn, Zeke, Slick and Randy… RMK, TommyCov, Lewis, Guyton and BobbyW. And Greg, Joe, RobP and TCrean. For ALL of us that love Indiana ……BRING IT HOME BIG FELLA!
Game. On.
Driving through the great state of Indiana, one word comes to mind, “Hickory”. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll understand. If not, do a little soul searching, learn it and live it. Only then will you understand why Indiana is a sacred place.
I had a front row seat for Bob Knight's time as Texas Tech's head coach.
Saw and heard plenty in press conferences and during coaches shows interviews.
One of the funnier moments...
The Hoosiers are much better than the way they played today. The good news is that they are gaining valuable experience and it will show in March. IU has abundant talent and experience, which will make them a title contender when pieces settle in place. Book it.
Parents: Agree or Disagree...But we(myself included) better start listening...Like Coach Izzo, Coach Painter is highly successful because he upholds the promise of teaching young men the value of sustenance. No agendas. Be consistent. Be coachable. Be dependable. Be accountable.
It’s been an honor...Thank you, Miles. Thank you for being coachable and bringing it everyday. Thank you for being responsible for your own actions, never blaming others. Thank you for your loyalty and love. Lastly, thank you for believing in us. You’re already a pro. ✊️

Reagan's first bucket. When I informed her of a travel, Rea calmly set the ball down and politely apologized. Kidding. She boo'd me and held out her glasses for me to put on...
A healthy Rob is an elite defender at the highest level. Health has also played a huge roll in his offensive consistency. The young man can PLAY. As important, he competes!
Special, but somber moment. I've never seen 3 Brothers that were closer than Cassius, Zach and Khy Winston. Cash, the loving and supportive oldest.... Zach, the vibrant one that was always smiling. And Khy; quiet, observant and the youngest of the 3 boys.
Coach Davis (aka Mad Dog), took a group of no-names and created champions. His success story is a special one. His selfless commitment to serving others is one of envy. Most importantly, success and $$ has never changed him. Thank you, Coach Davis. Love you.

Thank you to the great city of Minneapolis for an amazing experience. From the women and men in uniform, to the countless volunteers, the Final Four in the Twin Cities was first class. The Hyatt Regency staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious to all of us.

ON THIS DAY-2001: A buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Indiana center Kirk Haston gives the Hoosiers a 59-58 victory over Michigan State, the first ever win over a top-ranked opponent in Assembly Hall. Haston would lead all scorers with 27 pts.

On a lighter note: RIP to my pants that ripped at the seam during the game yesterday. We had an amazing 10 year run... Lots of great memories. In the end, it was time to split.

Mike and I were teammates at IU and remain close friends to this day. He loves his school and will be a huge asset to the B1G. Mike was known to be a very physical player. In fact, he once fouled out, before the game.
Yo Tay - No world tours dude. You’re visiting for a reason…Let’s go. Coach Allen and crew will make sure that you get what you want out of it. Don’t leave BTown without becoming a Hoosier my man… ✊️💯

June 6th, 1944, D-Day: “We went in just before dawn. There were nine ships in our group. Only five of us made it out. Bombs were exploding all around us. Our bombs and German bombs. We were scared to death, but had a job to do.”

This is why MSU is a special place. This is ownership. This is taking responsibility for his part. This is about love, trust and loyalty. This is not just about W's and L's. This is having the courage to face the demons of the mob mentality. Thank you, Antjuan!

A very powerful photo of what it means to be a Michigan St. Spartan. When you care for a teammate or a classmate like Spartans do, real emotions come out.

Much respect for Coach Painter… He’s a tremendous coach, leader and mentor young people. And it’s easy to see that Coach Painter takes great pride in helping and empowering his staff to become better coaches. It’s never about him.

traveled to Ann Arbor and defeated No. 2 Michigan 76-75. The win was the 500th at IU for Bob Knight. Alan Henderson sealed the road win with two late blocks, including one in the final seconds of Chris Webber.
Spartan Football: So proud of all of you. This team fought through untimely injuries and the fountain of youth in order to rep the green and white with class, dignity and a Spartans Will. Let’s regroup, get healthy and take back what is ours. We got your backs! ALL of em.

DJ's Dad was one of the friendliest people that I've ever met. Always a smile... and it's easy to see where DJ and Jarrett get their gentle souls from. May he rest in peace and dominate the pool table in Heaven. ✊️♥️
JJ! What a blessing you and your family have been. You made our team better. Your spirit and zest brought joy to us each day. Great young man. Great player. Great Spartan!

Dear Mr. President, Members of Congress, Governors and other elected officials: YOUR position is bestowed upon you, by us - The American People. Please do us all 1 favor. Go behind closed doors, get a plan and bring it to us. Your unity and direction will determine OUR success.1/
This is a good example as to why Michigan St. basketball is unique and very special. Former players are totally supportive of the program. Steve is as dedicated as they come. And Coach Izzo works tirelessly to make former players/parents/managers feel welcome and appreciated.
Tom Izzo said after the game on Saturday vs Illinois that Steve Smith grabbed Tyson Walker after the game and went shot free throws. Izzo didn’t know until Tyson’s dad told him after the game.
“Not many places have it like that.”
Later tonight, three Wolverines will be inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

🚨🏀 HISTORY MADE! 🎉🎉
Congrats to
@indianambb
’s Trayce Jackson-Davis (
@traycejackson
) on reaching 2,000 career points! 👏
Trayce is the 5th player in conference history to record 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and the 3rd player to add 200 blocked shots. 💪
Dustin - Thanks for telling our story. This team was full of characters… and we were all-in for the front of the jersey. Honorable journalists have my ♥️.
The oral history of the '01-'02 Indiana Final Four team on its 20th anniversary -- the comeback against Duke, the A.J. Moye block, the Dane Fife foul, the shutting down of Hollis Price, and what that team meant to IU:
Race Thompson has been such an important player and leader for the Hoosiers. Time after time, his toughness and reliability has kept the program standing…and his teams have endured some pretty difficult circumstances over the years. Love that dude. Praying for a quick recovery.
