I'm 0-10 since this tweet and the last one nearly broke me. But then I submitted to two more festivals, am submitting to one more program, and I'm still shooting my second feature in Portugal this summer. Why didn't I just stick to an office job?.
I submitted to two programs and two film festivals so far this month. There's a good chance I go 0-4, but I have a great pitch deck for my next project and a near-complete short film. Because all you can do is keep trying to create.

It's really jarring to see film festivals ask for age as a requirement. Especially because I'm old enough where it feels like it's going to be a knock against me. Why do you need to know how old I am to judge my film?.

Unbelievable. She could have just taken the hit and kept it moving. But she got on this here bird app to argue that her hard work is more consequential to her success than her father being a billionaire and the most successful filmmaker of all time. Breathtaking.
