The sad part about the removal of the Land O Lakes maiden is that the artist (from what I read) was a Native artist and her regalia actually was symbolic of his Nation. The lake is a real place on Native land. I stopped buying it when they removed her for that reason.

It depends on your situation, I would imagine. Here, we have a lot of people who don't speak English, so becoming bilingual has been a huge asset... our maintenance guy is awesome and he only knows a few words in English. Once he learned I also speak Spanish, he started smiling
