The Government must not be given powers to micro-manage pension scheme investments. Incentivising investment in UK growth assets makes sense, but forcing schemes into high-risk private unlisted assets is a step too far. Read my blog:

As someone who has had a prostate cancer diagnosis, I know how important it is to make sure men get diagnosed early and receive the right treatments - so I couldn’t agree more with @RishiSunak and the campaign for a national targeted screening programme.

The Government now has the chance to save countless lives by introducing a targeted screening programme for prostate cancer , the most common cancer among British men.

This is, by some distance, the most contemptible performance I’ve seen from a sitting Prime Minister at PMQs. Quite staggering to think Starmer once posed as the man who would restore faith in the conduct of our elected officials.

🚨 WATCH: Tory MP Andrew Snowden attacks Keir Starmer's "pre-scripted nonsense" answers which bear "no resemblance" to the questions asked Starmer: "They don't want to talk about the war because they supported going into the war without thinking of the consequences" #PMQs

An important Brexit dividend is the ability to diverge from EU regulation on Artificial Intelligence. It wasn't envisaged ten years ago, but is becoming increasingly useful as UK becomes home of talent and regulatory stability. https://t.co/pj4exWMjHJ

MSPs have come to the right conclusion tonight and rejected their assisted dying Bill. The Bill was deeply flawed and the holes within it insufficiently addressed. Like the Westminster Bill, the protections within it were weak and would not have protected the most vulnerable.

The Assisted Dying debate has been called Parliament at its best; it’s the opposite. It’s for parliament to make good law. It’s not about broad principles; it’s about detail. With most amendments to improve the bill rejected it remains flawed and unable to protect the vulnerable.

At the beginning of the process I said a Private Members Bill was not the right way to fundamentally change the relationship between the State and human life. As the process has continued I am all the more convinced that neither the process nor the Bill itself work.

After hours of scrutiny, and no meaningful changes to the Bill accepted, experts and professional bodies have not changed their position: The Assisted Dying Bill remains deeply flawed and unsafe. Bill supporters blame everyone else but won’t make the Bill safe.

Out today >> @UJS_UK 'Time for Change', report into 2.5 years of campus antisemitism. The findings are horrifying. - 24% students believe that zionists control the govt/media. - One in five (20%) students would be reluctant to, or would never, house-share with a Jewish student.
