A point often ignored is that some of the religious refugees came here to protect practices and values that were not accepted by the old world cultures for valid reasons, and the intolerance ran both ways. North America is still dealing with the consequences.
So many of the early settlers and many of our immigrants since came to North America due to religious persecution in their homelands. To see the US government favouring or promoting any religion is an affront to historical purpose. Religion has no place in democracy.

If you didn't do 2 years of high school in Ontario you don't know Ontario and don't deserve a fair shot in training and working here. How insane is that? And yet that's the policy of the Ontario government when it comes to medical graduates. It's totally discriminatory.

In addition to the man beside David Piccini getting $7.5M in SDF money, Piccini's wife (also pictured) is a lobbyist that represents Career Colleges Ontario - and several of the private trade schools that are members of Career Colleges Ontario received SDF money as well.
