I thought @bbctms were particularly good in this Test , more focus on the cricket š less of the End of the Pier comedy show which had crept in. He is something of a real find , young Andy , your final line sums his approach v neatly . Hope.

Is there a better sport than Test Cricket? Individual heroics, intense drama, ebb & flow. All down to the final session on day 5 for the 3rd Test in a row. And @bbctms is the best companion of all. Great insights, absence of bias, just enough humour. Age shall not witherā¦.

I do like Lauren James. One of the most chilled footballers around. Makes it look so easy. Speed of thought & fluidity of movement give her precious time . Elite coaching early on by Dad brought Lauren & her brother a head start. Both now naturals #WomensEuro2025.

Surrey want 14 @CountyChamp games per year and to have an 8 team Div 1 playing home and away. I agree with them. We have a truly WONDERFUL red ball game. This year crowds are significantly up on last year. Grow the game! Donāt shrink it.

āNedā Larkins & Geoff Cook were the best opening pair in county cricket 4 a decade. Geoff would guide the bad balls for 4,giving the strike to Ned, & heād smash the good balls for six. A typical lunch score for @NorthantsCCC on day 1 would be 120/0, with Cook on 40 & Larkins 80*.

RIP Wayne āNedā Larkins, the most brilliantly destructive English opener in county cricket for a decade. Opening bowlers would talk about being āNeddedā by a fearless batsman who would regularly bludgeon a six in 1st over. Old school - pints,fags,late nights - and great company.
