I was initially confused, but I’m just happy to see Bubba Chandler get some reps in the Bigs. Friday is appointment television 📺.
Bubba Chandler will be used as a bulk reliever w/ the Pirates. The team views him as a starter long term and he can get starts this year, but the club wants him to get Major League experience and this is consistent with the role/expectations of other young pitchers like Ashcraft.

This sucks, but if you read the article, Endy Rodriguez will be ready for Spring Training. This season is lost anyways. Good time to happen. Will still only be 25 next season, but if he can’t stay healthy next year, it may be close to over for him.
