“I’ve said this for 10 years now, this (the ACC) is probably top to bottom the best conference in the country,” – – #Pitt FB coach Pat Narduzzi. What would possess a man, one who is steeped in football knowledge, to blatantly lie to the public, when the public knows he’s lying.

James Franklin learned firsthand at #Penn State how hard it can be playing in a league with 2 superpowers. If he took a job in the SEC, his problem would multiply. Franklin’s best destination would be Florida State in the less competitive ACC, where a national title is possible.

Two turnovers in the final five minutes of the first half spelled doom for the Steelers.

Curious about what followers of the #Pirates think of the defensive abilities of catcher Henry Davis. Please give him a rank from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the best.

Unlike many ADs who watch games with other administrators from a suite or press box, Pat Kraft typically has been on the sidelines -- often in close proximity to James Franklin. I think it's fair to wonder how much of what he saw and heard down there factored into this decision.

Paul Zeise: Penn State's short-sighted firing of James Franklin exemplifies everything wrong with college sports

James Franklin had Penn State ranked No. 3 in the country and on the short list of teams that could win the national championship just three weeks ago. Then...

I don’t think Turang can make a conscious choice to not move there. That’s an instinctive reaction taking place in a millisecond.

On this date in 1960, Bill Mazeroski hit the most famous home run in MLB history; a walkoff blast that ended Game 7 of the World Series and gave the @Pirates their third World Championship. #happymazday

The decision by #Penn State to part ways with football coach James Franklin is understandable. But this has to be pointed out. There is absolutely no guarantee that the next coach won’t do worse.

The Steelers targeted Darnell Washington four times in the first half and Jonnu Smith three times. They targeted Pat Freiermuth zero times.

If Andrew McCutchen decides to retire before next season, here are 3 things the #Pirates should do. 1. Retire his number. 2. Give him a job of substance in the front office. 3. Announce the building of his statue. If he doesn’t retire, then do the above when he does.

A look at 2026 Pirates arbitration projections from Matt Swartz (@Matt_Swa) and @mlbtraderumors, along with '25 salaries. Cruz would get a raise. The Jack Suwinski figure seems way high.

In a continuation of the buffoonish style he has long run the #Pirates, Nutting said this week what happened in the 2025 season is “unacceptable.” He then extended the manager retained the GM, the president and everyone beneath them. Clearly, he has no interest in winning.
