Watched it last night. What stood out was the theme of how we ignore, and/or don't understand how economic injustice, & mental health play a part in criminality as a causal, mitigating or aggravating factors.
Just watched Straw on Netflix. Taraji's star power attracted me to it. It kinda messes with you emotionally and also begs questions as to whether (if it is not overly exaggerated) Black America can save itself from some of the intractable problems it confronts on a daily .
