Steph with a shortended 3pt line. Steph in an era where bigs didnt step beyond 15 feet. Steph in an era where players went under EVERY screen. Steph in an era where teams shoot the gap on off ball screens. but yeah no more than 17.
"I had a Hall of Famer come up to me and said to me, 'Steph Curry would not have averaged more than 17 points a game. In our era, we would've hurt him.'"😳 . @stephenasmith on Draymond Green's recent comments about comparing NBA eras 👀

There is a human being on this planet (Who the NBA deems worthy to have a say in the history of the league) that decided that SGA was the second best defender in the NBA this season.
A global media panel of 100 voters selected the winner of the 2024-25 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. The complete voting results ⬇️

I think Guys like KD and Bron have been good for so long a large portion of people just genuinely havent even watched them in their absolute prime years or when they did they were like 6 years old.

all this crying about whos gonna be the face of the league and we have an american born, extremely accomplished, young, champion,no off court controversy, ON THE CELTICS and somehow he has no claim to be the face? and is corny for wanting to be that?.

So lets get this straight. Giannis has been better than tatum literally every single year of their careers, but a fmvp will put tatum above him. How do you reconcile that? 'Yeah giannis was better in 2018,19,20,21,22,23,24,25 and we all knew it But JT got 2 rings so hes higher'.

@4itzology Giannis is like 18x closer to being the best defender itl than shai is to being the second best.

We are getting to a point where in about 10 years there will be human beings trying to convince us that theres 20-25 people better than Kevin Durant at basketball in the history of life.
Could Jayson Tatum catch Kevin Durant All-Time? Through 8 seasons: . Championships:.Tatum - 1, KD - 0. All-NBA Teams:.Tatum - 4, KD - 5. All-Stars:.Tatum - 6, KD - 6. There is a chance he can.

@Mario_Barzini i always find this quite funny,i think the same can be said about making it very clear that some people dont deserve to be out there with you. have you ever been offended that someone is sharing the court with you whos clearly inferior?.

If the NBA and its casual fans still cant see how problematic the mainstream media is amidst all this then there truly is zero hope for basketball discourse.
Kendrick Perkins doesn’t understand why LeBron chose not to do the Mind of the Game podcast with guys like Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, Phil Handy, or Draymond Green, and instead chose to do it with Steve Nash and JJ Redick 🤔. (🎥 @FirstTake ) .

@vevosuave What years has Steph even been a better player than bron? 22-24?.

@sports_fluent Yeah his coach wouldnt let him shoot more than 5 threes a game what a great era where the coaches are imbeciles.

Someone has to enlighten me on how a 20 foot jumper is fine but the moment its 22 feet all hell breaks loose.
I would love the @NBA to make a rule that allows teams to only shoot 3’s 25 times a game and then watch the beauty of basketball return. Nothing like a basketball offense using all 5 players , running 94 feet leading to eye pleasing fast breaks.

When will people realize that the only reason Rudy has ever been 'played off the floor' is because of his offense not his defense.

People will see all these 6'9+ ball handlers and shot creators on the perimeter and all these bigs playing on the outside and then also say 'what did KD influence' like be so serious. @KDTrey5 has changed the game FOREVER whether you like it or not.

Some people simply put dont actually like the sport.
Paolo has shot an abysmal 45.6% from 2 in his playoff career and has 49 assists to 47 turnovers. Since when is a player who’s awful on offense, awful on defense, awful in the regular season and awful in the playoffs better than a quality two way player who’s an elite defender?.

Are we seriously at the point where people are unironically saying Jayson tatum is better than peak kawhi leonard? Blindly comparing box score stats is going way too far.
"can't even tie 2017 Kawhi Leonard's shoes". 26.9 PPG.8.6 RPG.5.5 APG.1.2 SPG.54.5% 2PT.36% 3PT.80% FT.59% TS%. 8.82 ON-court net rating. It's quite literally the same shit if not better 😂.

I think what makes Jayson Tatum so polarizing is that the box score doesnt show how truly versatile he is. He's quite possibly the most versatile player in the NBA yet hes viewed through the lense of 'if hes not scoring hes not that impactful'.
