Also, when it comes to subjective things, nobody should agree with everything somebody says and there's no reason for people to insist on only having "good opinions", controversial opinions incite discussion, "good opinions" are usually painfully obvious and dont need to be said.

Yet people in their condemnation of Fantano and other critics lampoon his final assessment and ignore the analysis. I'm sure Fantano would say the same thing, that the opinions himself don't mean nearly as much as *why he got to them in the first place*.

The opinion itself only represents one subjective way to condense the analysis. The analysis is always the most important part, the opinion itself is almost worthless, it should be malleable, shouldn't be vociferously defended if there's reason to abandon it.

The fact that people are so inconsistent about their opinion on Fantano proves that his criticism is worthwhile. Never had a good opportunity to say this but when someone delivers a take, backed by analysis, the conclusion is the least important part of the take!.

Pause but he's a legit goat tier penetrator with respect to his physical tools. How many players with his driving rate have good-not-elite burst, mid acceleration, mid stride length, average decel, physically frail etc. His entire game is handle and shotmaking.
