Nothing quite like it- can't describe the feeling when you hand off your baby girl for another surgery. A massive emptiness/pit in your stomach and at the same time a feeling of hopefulness for her results and future.
I just pray God holds her tight again today. My Cali baby ❤️

Update- we're on the road to recovery (again)- to all of you who took a moment and prayed for her yesterday- THANK YOU.
Cali's eyes are as bright as they were before- and she's feeling better after nearly an 8 hour surgery.

My newborn girl has been through 2 and soon to be 3 grueling surgeries on her head and brain. Why do I say this? Bc she's taught me what real courage looks like- what real love looks like. Life is too short to be anything but kind to others- it's our job don't take it lightly.

Learned a lot already in my short time as a HC....one thing I refuse to fail at is uniting this group of young men and helping them find what all they got. Wins and losses come and go, but we're learning to fight for every possession on both ends, and caring about each other.
