First Walls Friends event of 2024 is this coming Saturday morning. Walking tour around rarely-visited eastern flank of the city walls. Always under pressure from developers, see it before you loose it!

Troubles ‘humour’ needs to be put through some sort of filter before it ends up as semipermanent murals on our streets. #internationalwomensday2024 #iwd2024

My goodness she is good. I try to only post on medial matters, but found it surprisingly hard to formulate my thoughts on this. @ClaireHanna has articulated them perfectly

I spoke in favour of an immediate ceasefire for Gaza today. The wholesale slaughter of innocent Palestinian men, women & children has no possible justification.

After the horror massacres of 7 October when many unionists and Protestants were queuing up to “stand with Israel” some of us warned of the dangers of Netanyahu’s policies and his scorched earth strategy. How right we were. This madness must stop.

Derry’s riverfront has its carbuncles but ‘luckily’ was never overswamped with ‘prestige’ office developments. Wonder how the Titanic Quarter is adjusting?

Did Churchill, as Prime Minister, visit NI during WWII? I know Herbert Morrison visited Derry but I don’t recall seeing any pics of the PM on similar fact finding or morale boosting visits. A friend sent me a pic of Churchill with some #USMarines but it was Iceland not Ireland.
