What an honour to get the opportunity to talk with some of the remaining veterans of WW II and to be able to express our deepest gratitude for their incredible service yesterday at the special reception at Windsor Castle to mark the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day.

Armistice Day Joined party members & others at The Assembly Act of Remembrance & 2 minute silence in Senate Chamber + wreath-laying at WWII memorial. In grateful remembrance of all who served in British & allied forces & the fallen in 2 World Wars and subsequent conflicts 🌺🇬🇧

Party Colleagues participated in the Service of Remembrance in the Senate Chamber of Parliament Buildings, before the Party Leader, Deputy Leader and Deputy First Minister laid a wreath at the war memorial inside the main entrance.

We remember them.    On behalf of the nation, The King lays a wreath at the Cenotaph during the annual Service of Remembrance.   Wreaths were laid by The Prince of Wales, and The Duke of Edinburgh, and on behalf of The Queen, and The Duke of Kent.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
