and another 3 tasmanias needed for carbon credits according to a recent report from the Australian Government's own ag advice agency, ABARES.
Great analysis from @gerardgholland at Page Research found the Australian government will need to ruin a land mass 1.5x the times of Tasmania to meet its “clean” energy plans. Of course nuclear remains outlawed…

New paper from @CISOZ ! @JudeBlik and I have written what we hope is a nail-in-coffin analysis of Green Hydrogen. It doesn't make sense, and never will. It requires so much electricity that no amount of scale will make the economics work. 1/ https://t.co/VEpSUi9DhL

Executive Summary Green hydrogen is often heralded as a cornerstone of Australia’s net zero ambitions, but the reality is that …

Where does this stop? Billions in subsidies, projects collapsing, and families hit with power bills as high as $784 a month. I’m calling for transparency and accountability — regional Australians shouldn’t be left paying the price.

Well done Alex for standing strong against such disgusting behaviour. Community groups are being smashed by extremely well financed corporate organisations. We stand with you Alex!
Watch Senator Wish-Wilson's prompt shutdown of debate on the viability of offshore windfarms after Labor Senator Lisa Darmanin's smug question goes awry. Alex O'Brien does a great job exposing the systemic pro-greenwashing embedded in Canberra. Responsible Future Illawarra

COALSPLAIN: Gerard Holland of the Page Research Centre coal-splained to hard left labor Senator Michelle Ananda-Rajah why coal is the cheapest form of energy. She did not like it.

Must watch!
Time to watch another brilliant video from Zoe about @the_AEMC, and their Residential Electricity Price Trends report. It should have given us clear warning about the price implications of government policy. But now, it's just fan-fiction for the ISP. https://t.co/PSdJBzLUnc

It looks like the 'energy transition' fund chaired by @JuliaGillard has been thrown a lifeline. But if you read carefully, they're really basically still cutting exposure to this. 1/ https://t.co/pdo5fOrfJk

Also worth noting that the Kentbruck wind farm project has some currently 'unacceptable' impacts, that need to be resolved. Big visual impact on bushwalking route, and also killing a lot of critically endangered bats. They could have economic impacts on the project. 5/5

He says it well. Some of us have been saying this for years now.
This video should be compulsory viewing for every net zero-obsessed politician, commentator, teacher and student. Listen to an Oxford Prof explain why the UK’s energy costs are so ridiculously high. It’s all self-inflicted. Net stupid zero indeed.

Balsa wood is used as a key component in wind turbine blades. The Amazon rainforest – the lungs of the planet, is plundered to supply balsa wood for wind turbines - with a devastating impact on the indigenous peoples of the Ecuadorian Amazon. How is this ‘saving the planet’?

There is good reason people don't want this in their environment and have serious concerns. Where is the concern from the 'Greens.' There is very little that is green about this approach.
Major wind turbine manufacturers have been hit by an asbestos scandal. At Australia's $4 billion Golden Plains wind farm, testing on turbines has come back positive. Units are now quarantined and the manufacturer is launching global checks across its supply chain. This

A couple of weeks ago I found this stunning chart. Note the log scale. That green line "Base Case" shows NSW being crippled by blackouts costing us between 10 and 100 BILLION dollars annually from 2029/30. 1/

GM all. This is Australia now.
Lessons from across the sea Albanese has been on the record that he’s looked to the UK for lessons on social media regulation, and that he’s been in contact with Keir Starmer about how governments should respond to open discourse online. This does not bode well for where these

Very glad to have this piece published in the @FinancialReview today. "Those still clinging to the claim that renewable energy is cheapest will look back at the end of 2025 as the last respectable moment to let go." https://t.co/ldwU3IA9sD

The federal government narrative – that coal is the cause of expensive power and renewables will soon solve it – is looking untenable.

The mask is slipping, more quickly now.
Even BlackRock CEO Larry Fink now admits that “transitioning” to solar and wind will cause a global power shortage—after spending years pressuring companies to do exactly that. The "transition" he advanced has already sabotaged our power supply and raised our electricity bills.
