Beautiful example of tailoring healthcare communication to the individual patient and the huge impact this has on patient experience and health outcomes. Good work @npo_speechie ππ»ππ»ππ» @DrRobOH @rose_mirandaros
I wanted to share a basic technique that could really help patients in hospital- particularly post-stroke patients in acute settings. About 6 months ago, I was a patient in hospital, alongside being a SALT student. There was an elderly gentleman crying for helpβ¦ 1/π§΅

You had me at souffle π
Looking fwd to talking about our #aphasia clinical trial. Why did we get the outcome we did?! What did clinicians, clients and project managers think of the intervention AND how the study ran? What should we do in the future? Why is a soufflΓ© relevant?! All will be revealed!

One of our team, @Amber_M_SLT, found this app recently. A really useful, visually based app for complying a shopping list. We think it would be great to try with some of our aphasic clients. Available on Apple and Android https://t.co/Aeri5cPQfU

Thank you for your fantastic work on the @COMPAREaphasia discourse data & for being a valued member of the @aphasiacre. I so enjoyed working with you & our other RAs. I reckon I learnt as much from our discussions as I taught. The future of aphasia research & rehab is bright π
#mySLTday A very bittersweet day as I finish up my work with the @aphasiacre on discourse analysis for people with aphasia. It has been the most rewarding experience, and I could not feel more thankful. Please indulge me while I share a few highlights... (1/8)
