I’m so grateful to so many people for my Order of Australia. This award is yours too. I now get to advocate for aphasia in different and influential circles. Yesterday it was the Governor of Queensland, an MP & 100 other VIP’s. We should nominate more of us for awards like these.

I agree. And there are clinical tools out there like the Inpatient Functional Communication Interview to help clinicians do this. We just need to shift our lens to what's important to the person....
