First fruitcake is half gone and wifey, who doesnt eat fruit cake, is circling. Second fruitcake has been fed Marsala wine, wrapped in cheese cloth and plastic, and is now biding time in the fridge. Just from the way it smells, this is a better option than rum.

Well, converting the recipe worked as expected. What I didnt expect is the result of a successful effort. Apparently it is supposed to be more fruit than cake, and feeding it booze softens the caramelized sugar that wants to form a candy shell.
