From my mother’s side, my grandparents are from occupied Nakhijevan, where Armenians are prohibited from visiting their indigenous lands. From my father’s side, my great-grandparents are from occupied Western Armenia, from where Armenians were deported in 1915.

The *Ghazanchetsots* Armenian Cathedral was built in 1722, it was torched in 1905 and 1920, bombed in 1992 and 2020. Its crosses were removed by the Aliyev regime. It stands as an empty shell. The Zangilan Mosque was opened in 2024… This isn’t coexistence, it’s replacement.
