Imagine if Pope Francis had been asked about this on one of those plane trips with journalists 😬

In 2013, Dr. Kate Granger initiated a campaign advocating for healthcare professionals to introduce themselves to patients. While this may appear straightforward, and I've encountered the sentiment that it's an oversimplification or already standard practice, my personal

Re: reforms to trial by jury. +Gloucester has drawn attention to the 2017 Lammy Review on treatment of BAME individuals in the criminal justice system. And: "Victims face agonising delays; so do the accused, who are innocent until proven guilty." https://t.co/VgzW3E7Nzj

Female bodies are capable of amazing things male bodies aren't. Conflating strongest and fastest (in crude sports terms) with "most capable" is patriarchal thinking - as though everything women offer, endure and create is passive and doesn't count
Democrat Lindsey Williams: "Female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies." https://t.co/HM6zgXzntO

@Sacramentrix @MadsDavies Yes! Here in Germany children dressed as kings go door to door, sing us a song, and collect money for charity. We get a sticker on the door though, not real chalk.

The Winchester church’s annual report refers to the case - sounds like a bit of a nightmare 🥶

We covered the Winchester ‘cautionary tale’ in November - the church assumed permission would be granted (perhaps understandably given other rulings) https://t.co/C6UCdkHFDs

I’d be curious to know what the decision would have been had they applied for the faculty originally. A Times investigation found that permission had been granted in nine out of ten cases for parishes to install new fossil-fuelled boilers

Cash-strapped parishes install fossil fuel boilers against Church guidance
Forcing a freezing parish to rip out its new boilers (costing over £18,000) and then spend £60,000 on heat pumps so perfectly epitomises the contempt in which the national church holds the local church. https://t.co/DOyBDUlWUm

@MadsDavies I love doing this! I think I first came across it 12/13 years ago, just before I went to theological college - but a congregant who spent time in various parts of Germany in the 80s/90s recalls something similar and children dressing as kings going door to door.

Handy guide from St Albans Abbey. I must admit I didn’t know what this stood for and have only ever seen it on Twitter (and once at a theological college)

I knew migration was falling but not to this extent.
Britain’s population could start shrinking sooner than we think Successive changes to immigration rules are seeing visa applications plummet. Meanwhile, revisions to data - plus an expected student exodus next year - should send the official emigration figures higher 1/4
