A year since the recall of Chesa Boudin & the data is clear: Violent crime in SF is up under DA Brooke Jenkins. It’s not the fault of the DA, experts said—but that’s not the message Jenkins drove home during the recall. via @jrivanob https://t.co/7Vzo3k65Ja

Experts agree: DA has little impact on crime. But on the campaign trail, Brooke Jenkins placed blame squarely on predecessor Chesa Boudin.

As Plaza East's owner and the Housing Authority consider plans for the site's future, residents are still awaiting repairs that were supposed to be completed in May 2022. I dug into the current state of affairs at Plaza East:

When the Eureka Valley branch of the San Francisco public library closes at night, its staff are required to turn off the free Wi-Fi. The reason? To deter homeless people from gathering outside the building. https://t.co/4o6giuPbpY

I had the chance to hear some really powerful stories reporting on reparations. Lily told me how her family was forced out of the Fillmore during urban renewal twice (!) and folks talked about the thriving jazz scene + community there. Check it out at 102.5 FM at 6 tonight
