Look at that Nevil Shute book in the window…great story writer, all but forgotten now. Maybe that one is ‘Requiem for a Wren’ - I remember weeping over that one. ‘A Town Like Alice’ maybe still read, I hope. Such wonderful tales.

The police engineered this by revoking permission - that had been agreed weeks ago - only late yesterday. The police - or their political masters - have seemingly purposefully tried to diminish public sympathy for farmers over their mistreatment by Reeves and DEFRA. Instead
Rachel Reeves destroyed farmers' livelihoods. Now they're being arrested because officialdom doesn't want the sound of tractors as a backdrop for the Chancellor's red box 'moment'. I understand why some might see this as two tier policing by the @metpoliceuk.
