Scientists with Drs. @LukeSelth and Jianling Xie identify the protein disulfide isomerases PDIA1 and PDIA5, which play a critical role in folding of client proteins in the ER, as important regulators of #ProstateCancer growth and response to therapy. đź’Š https://t.co/DXaBouBHHz

Check out our new work exploring AR biology in advanced prostate cancer: https://t.co/SqZKXZ8kcR. We found that tumours expressing a specific AR variant (ARv567es) have a distinct transcriptomic profile and are resistant to androgen deprivation and bipolar androgen therapy

The androgen receptor (AR) is a master regulator in prostate cancer, but the relevance of its truncated variants remains unclear. Using patient-derived models, we demonstrated that expression of the...

Super short version: FOXA2 promotes transcriptional reprogramming – in collaboration with LSD1 and AP-1 – to enable prostate cancer lineage plasticity. But there is SO MUCH MORE….give it a read if chromatin/transcription/plasticity/etc float your boat

These AR-regulated enzymes don’t muck around: in addition to promoting tumour growth and metabolism of medium chain fatty acids, they also suppress ferroptosis and drive resistance to AR-targeted therapies. New therapeutic targets?
