As horrific as 2020 has been in many ways, it has genuinely been the best year of my life. I’m struggling my way through 4th year of medical school, but in November we welcomed my beautiful son, Teddy, to the world 💙

When have you ever been on holiday to a major city and not had to be careful about pickpockets/scammers. They’re everywhere near Las Ramblas in Barca…. Not that deep.
How depressing. This is our capital city now with reminders to the public and tourists that their personal effects are not safe from criminality. London never used to be this way. London doesn’t have to be this way.

All this does is create two-tiers of medical education. In reality what's the difference, you're paying some people for apparently the same as others pay the privilege for.
We surveyed students at the three pilot sites for medical doctor degree apprenticeships – more than 70% don't think they're a good idea. We welcome @NHSEngland's decision to discontinue these programmes. They must never be reintroduced. Read more:

Let’s add in the school pick up, that same parent would probably need to leave work not long after 2pm to drive/commute home; to walk back to school to not be late. 4-4.5 hour working day….

The issue is not the distance to the school, it’s time. If parents walk their children to schools walk home, walked home, and then drive/get public transport to word, it’s easily gone 10am, and school is all wrapped up by 3pm excluding wrap around care/clubs?. Address the system.
Roads quiet this morning? . That's because it's the school holidays and an average of 30% of morning traffic in London is school-run traffic. •43% in Tower Hamlets (the worst). •The average catchment area in London is a walkable 1 to 2km. When did parents become so soft?.
