The 2020 US Census reports that approximately 25.7% (18.8 million) of all children under the age of 18 in the United States are of Hispanic/Latina/o/x ethnic origin. As educational leaders, we must improve how we serve these students.

This is a critical issue that deserves a multiprong approach from faculty instructors, academic advisors, and front-facing staff members. The facts remain that many diverse students suffer in silence on our campuses. We must notice the subtle signs & reach out. #alifeiswaiting.

Such an important and ongoing issue in American Higher Education. There is a greater need to help faculty & practioners to understand how to help all students who will face some degree of mental health wellness. Become educated and learn that a student's life is waiting for help.

A study that provides a critical lens on the long-term effects of the pandemic on educational systems. We need to leverage this data to inform better policies, but also, to offer grace and compassion to these diverse learners who endured unprecedented stress & anxiety.
